Welcome to Trainer Weekly!

Are you a corporate trainer, going to companies and teaching their people how to do their jobs even better?  Or would you like to be one, enjoying a combination of high income, high demand, flexibility, and satisfaction?

I’m Reuven Lerner, and I’ve been doing a combination of development, consulting, and training for more than 20 years.  About two years ago, I decided to concentrate on training — and I went from having a good career to a phenomenal one.  I’m now charging more than I ever did before, working with huge clients such as Cisco, PayPal, and VMWare.  And I travel around the world, visiting China and Europe every few months.  Moreover, I’m booked 6-8 months in advance, giving me predictable income.

I have started to help others who want to enjoy the same kind of success as I’ve had.  I host a Facebook group, have started a coaching program for current and aspiring trainers, and am working on a book about the pedagogy, business, and logistics of corporate training.  I’m also planning to start a new podcast about training, combining insights and strategies I’ve collected with interviews, to learn from other trainers.

Much of this is needed because training is often a lonely exercise.  You rarely get a chance to get tips from others, to coordinate with your fellow trainers, to discuss how to approach clients, and to step back and think about what you’re doing (and how).

I’m thus proud to launch Trainer Weekly, a free newsletter for people involved in corporate training. Every Monday, I’ll send you a new suggestion, tip, link, or reference to something that has to do with being a corporate trainer. Because most of what I do is software development, it’ll likely be weighted toward those doing technical training — but much of what I write will likely be good for people in other fields, as well.

Trainer Weekly is completely free of charge. You’re under no obligation to buy any of my services. I want to make it easier for people to succeed in the training business, and also to make it easier for companies to hire high-quality trainers.
